Articles: your website’s blog

Sep 27, 2026 2 min read

Articles are your blog posts: news, guides, updates or case studies. They help Google find your site and give visitors a reason to come back.

Writing an article

  1. Click New.
  2. Write the title and a subtitle that sums up the article in one sentence. Do it in each language of your site.
  3. Fill in the link: the last part of the address (for example how-to-choose-running-shoes). Lowercase, with hyphens and no accents.
  4. Upload a main image: it is used in lists and when the article is shared.
  5. Choose one or more categories. Without a category, the article does not appear in any list.
  6. Write the text in Description. Use subheadings and lists so it is easy to read.
  7. Check the publication date and leave Published set to “Yes”.
  8. Save.

Other fields

  • Show in digital products: only buyers of that product can read the article. Useful for paid content.
  • Viewed: the view counter.

Where they appear

  • On each category’s page.
  • In a section of type Articles or Articles miniatures, for example on the Front page.
  • To link the blog from the header, add the category to the menu.

The title and description Google sees are set in Titles and metas. These very help articles are made with this screen.
